"Buses, Cabs, The Tube & your feet" London Transportation Tip by sunlovey

London Transportation: 1,870 reviews and 1,890 photos

When you first arrive in London, I suggest you get around by bus- Reason being, this is a good way to get your bearings in a city that is very easy to get lost in. Pay close attention to the names of various stops and areas. This is how getting around London came together for me. And you start to realize you can walk most everywhere you want to go unless it's on the outskirts of the center city.

Once you have your bearings, utilize the tube (London's great underground system). I found the tube quite easy to understand and navigate.

In a bit of a hurry or want to really experience getting around London in style? Take a black cabbie. Gosh I think these cabs are so elegant. A little pricey, yeah, but it's worth it in my opinion.

Like I said, once you get the layout of London, walking the city is effortless. You'll come to see, it's not such a big city land mass wise.
