  Bohemians Dublin 1 - UCD 0
by sabsi

Irish people are absolutely mad about sports. When I visited here first it was shortly after the world cup 1990 when the whole country was wearing the national colours green, white and orange. It was great! Everybody we met asked us how we felt as a world champion!!!

If you have the opportunity go and see a football, gaelic football or hurling match! Or go to the greyhound races...

Well I only had the chance to see a football match so far but it was really funny. We watched Bohemians beat UCD 1-0. It was a really good experience! The merchandise in Dalymount Park stadium was sold out of a plastic bag etc etc. Lovely!

Check at the tourist information or in the newspaper if there are any sports events while you are there.

Directions: Bohemians play at Dalymount Park (north of O'Connell Street). Other (bigger) stadia are Croke Park and Lansdowne Road (the last Rugby match here was on 31 December 2006).
