Craig Villa B&B: "Average B&B, could be run better" Dalmally Hotel Tip by Carlowski

We stayed at Craig Villa B&B one night in May 2004 as a base for climbing Ben Cruachan. From the B&B you get great views of the Ben Cruachan and Ben Lui.

Well located and clean B&B, in need of a good makeover. More attention to customers would help as well.

Our double room was spacious and clean but lacking any charm and personality; the shower required a degree in hydraulics to be run properly.

Breakfast was a rather spartan experience, it seemed quite clear that we were allocated an exact amount of food. While wasting food is certainly not a good idea, rationing toasts slices is sure to lead to unsatisfied customers (like me)

In general Craig Villa seems to be run with military precision, clean and efficient but lacking warmth. Certainly NOT for a romantic break.

Unique Qualities: Good location and excellent views, spacious room

Price Comparison: about average
Directions: On the main road (A85), just before a large coach-tours type hotel
Price: US$40-80
Theme: Bed and Breakfast
