  "Rat Instructor" with training grounds.

This old museum was fast asleep for decades. But it has undergone a slight face-lift and is one of the more interesting and at the same time restful museums in Paris. It has most of the old very elaborate physical demonstrations left (the "Push the Button" type - that actually work) and it has new and very interesting interactive experiments. Some of them involving living creatures - you, your friend or an animal that isn't hurt in any way. Just reacting the way it always did (du calm s'il vous plait - it is mostly beatles and little fishes).

There is also a "professor" that demonstrates the more violent behaviours of nature - the electric show is - well - "electric".

And there is the Rat School. A fascinating lesson for men and rats. Bring your children there - they will love it. And you too!

Address: Av. Franklin D. Roosevelt. Close to the Seine bank
Directions: Metro number 1 or 9 to Franklin D. Roosevelt station. A short walk down the avenue brings you there.
Or bus number 28, 83 or 93. There's a bus stop just outside the museum.
