by SebastienR

Located in the 20e, the Père Lachaise cemetary is the largest in Paris. Crumbling two hundred year old mausoleums as well as graves of the recently deceased line its maze-like alleys.

Entrance is free, but to fully appreciate the cemetary (and not get lost!) you should buy a map.

Famous residents include Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Balzac, Danton, Delacroix, Molière, Lafontaine, Modigliani and many others.

Address: 16 Rue du Repos, 75020
Directions: 20e arrondissement, métro Père-Lachaise
Phone: +33 1 55 25 82 10
