OK, I grant you, the place looks pretty calm in the photo I've attached, but if you go through here at night, it can be quite a madhouse! One might think that the throwing of beads and the flashing are limited to Mardi Gras...one would be wrong. The crowds pack the street during Mardi Gras, is the only difference.

On Bourbon Street you will find bars, tourist shops, music halls (you can see Maison Bourbon in the photo), and strip clubs.
