The Zagreb Municipal Museum was founded in 1907 in the tower above Kamenita vrata, after some changes the Museum is situated in the former convent of the nuns of the Order of St. Clare in the street which was named Opatička vulicza (The Nuns' street) after them. The convent, built in 1650, is a baroque building known for its wall paintings (with painted windows).
