Bobby Vans steakhouse: "Steakhouse" Bobby Van's Steakhouse Tip by ilya74

... talking about location... Sitting right at the foot of the Helmsley building (46 street ) on Park Avenue with the landmark MetLife (some may know it as Pan Am) bulding towering above -you've probably seen this place in the movies. Very busy place - reservations are a must. Athmosphere - another "Man's Place". Suits and "respectable" waiters are dominating the typical wood-and-wine-bottles decor.

Favorite Dish: Filet Mignon - enormous, but very good.
Hash browns - I've seen better.
Creamed spinach - too creamy with big unchopped leaves.
All things considered (including price!) - I'd go to Sparks instead.
