Lloyd's Chicago: "Popular for lunch & pre-theater" Top 5 Page for this destination Lloyd's Chicago Tip by shrimp56

Lloyd's Chicago, Chicago: 2 reviews and 5 photos

Not a great restaurant, but a very acceptable and useful one for Loop workers and theatre-goers. In fact it closes at 7pm! ["Curtain" for Chicago theaters is mostly 7:30pm.] It specialises in pasta and seafood. The crab cakes seemed to be very popular while we were there. [The same company owns the popular "Catch 35" restaurants in the Loop and in Naperville.]

The restaurant is two levels in the lobby of an office building, designed with a prairie-style theme. Most tables are on the upper level which is decorated with large photos of Chicago.

The service was very harried and inconsistent.

Favorite Dish: I had an Asian beef salad on a base of soba noodles. [pictured] It was very tasty. We also had roasted red pepper humuus, which was fresh and delicious.
Bottom line? A useful place because of location and slightly lower prices than other pre-theater options.
