"Textiles--antique and new" Chatuchak Weekend Market Tip by rebeccadv

Chatuchak Weekend Market, Bangkok: 109 reviews and 121 photos

Luck Silk Store. Will continue to look for the card so I can post the exact address. The owner is Thai of Chinese descent. Good selection of textiles from all regions of Thailand, and Camodia and Vietnam. Very reasonable prices and he will explain to you why the different prices (weave, thread count, age, etc)

And if you get hungry while there the owner advised us to cross the street, go in to the wet market, and in the middle to the right (coming from Chatuchak) there are food stalls (similar to what you find in Singapore) place was clean, food was fresh and very good, and cheap. He said that it was clean and better and cheaper than the stalls at Chatuchak--i got the impression he did not find the Chatuchak stalls too clean.

Address: Payolhothin Road
Directions: Near Kamphaengphet II road. If you look on this map http://www.guidetothailand.com/thailand-shopping/shopping_chatuchak_map.htm
it is in the 25-26 area (handicrafts, antiques).
