Rumah Makan Dofior: "Fresh Seafood, Oh Yeah!" Sorong Restaurant Tip by RoyJava

This restaurant (rumah makan) is one of the best, is told. Actually most of the Indonesian restaurants got set up specially for tourists. Most of the people eat in the little warungs (eating-places). The Dofior restaurant is serving very authentic food. If you can manege a few words of Bahasa Indonesia, they will offer some extra's to the dishes for you. Very friendly staff who remembered us on a return visit. The great view at sea already was an extra!

Favorite Dish: We had a wonderful fish-soup (soto ikan), sambel goreng buncis (special vegetables of beans with salted fish). The krupuk udang (crispery chips of shrimps) was excellent. These people know how to prepare their meals ... and a delicious sambal bajak, the red hot pepper sauce!
