A Great place to have fun and eat a delicious meal is in the Lincoln Square Neighborhood on Lincoln Avenue called, of all things, "Bad Dog Tavern".
We've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed.
The first time we discovered Bad Dog was in the summer, and we wanted to watch a Cubs Baseball Game and eat at the same time. We ate at the bar with televisions mounted high on the wall. The bartenderes were so friendly, the atmosphere was quite condusive to enjoying the ballgame. I also noticed that no one was smoking.
Another time, it was also summer, and we ate outside in their beautiful, large patio section.
The third time we went here, it was winter, and we ate in the back beside the fireplace, and it was warm, cozy, and romantic.
There are wonderful photographs of all kinds of dogs in frames along the walls of the restaurant. It's quite clever.

Favorite Dish: The menu offers appetizers, pizza, salads, soups, sandwiches, and entrees (served after 5pm).
We tried Fried calamari with a horseradish cocktail sauce, which was mighty good. I love their thin pizzas, which are crisp and made with the freshest ingredients.
Allan and I always share the small table salad, which is so large that we have trouble finishing it! It has mixed greens, cucumber, carrots, tomato, olives, shaved parmesan, and we ask for bleu cheese vinaigrette dressing with added crumbled bleu cheese. It is "out-of-this-world good"!
Both of us love the slow cooked pulled pork sandwiches. They are all lean with a tangy barbecue sauce and creamy cole slaw.
Allan also had rack of lamb for an entree one night, and he loved it. It was half rack, marinated with rosemary mustard sauce, red wine reduction, and served with green beans and cranberry bread pudding.
I highly advise anyone who enjoys casual dining with a warm, friendly atmosphere, to try Bad Dog Tavern
