With classic '50s decor and memorabilia lining the walls, the Deli By the Bay is going for that retro diner feel. The food is good and cheap. But the view, with a sweet vista of San Diego Bay and the downtown skyline, is the strongest selling point for this deli. Just a few steps away from the Coronado ferry landing, Deli By the Bay is a pleasant place to wait for the ferry to come in or grab a sandwich before renting a bike and exploring Coronado.

Favorite Dish: Because it's owned by an old friend of mine's family, I've tried almost everything. You can't go wrong with any choice. Personally, I love a traditional turkey sandwich but don't forget the avacado.

PS. Don't forget to look around at all the really cool things hanging on the walls!
