"ROQUE NUBLO & ROQUE BENTAYGA" Tejeda Things to Do Tip by Maria_75

These are two very strange rock formations up in the mountains. They both had religious significance for the guanches that used to live here before the spanish conquest.

Roque Bentayga is situated not so far from Tejeda, and this village is a good base if you want to go walking to Roque Bentayga.

There are great views to both of these rock formations from both Tejeda and Cruz de Tejeda. On clear days you can also see the mountain of Teide on the neighbor island of Tenerife.
