"Parking your car" Prague Warnings Or Dangers Tip by jolsen05

If you are driving in Prague, you will notice you can't park ANYWHERE!!! You need a special permit to park in Blue spots. I've always been able to move my car everyday to a new spot, and evade parking cops. This past trip, however, we weren't so lucky. On our last of four days in Prague, our car was removed and impounded! We were parked in the Petrska neighbourhood, so our car was taken to the Petrska impound lot naturally. The total cost was 80 dollars American (including ticket, impound fee), which is far cheaper than impound lots in the states, and probably about the price we would pay for parking for five days. If you park in Petrska neighborhood, the impound lot is on the bank of the river closest to the neighborhood (just cross the busy street and go toward the river). Of course, you can always do the smart thing, and park in a freaking lot!!! That's just not my style.
