Close to the town of Mataranka the thermal pools are situated. The waters are crystal clear but can get very crowded especially during day time. Best is to camp here overnight and walk to the thermal pools in the evening after dinner and relax for some time untill you skin is all wrinkled.

The trees around the thermal pools are home to millions of flying foxes or bats don't know exactly what they are but they look like bats. Anyway there are millions in the trees around the pools so make sure that during day time you don't leave your clothes uncovered while going for a dip, or you might find you clothes covered in fresh bat turd. Not so nice.... During nighttime they are out hunting so you won't have this problem.
