Dating from the 13th century, S.Maria Sopra Minerva is the only example of gothic church in Rome, and underwent changes during 15th-17th centuries by Renaissance artists from Venice and Florence and by Baroque roman artists. It cointains also many tombs, including those of St. Catherine da Siena, the humanist Pietro Bembo and the friar painter Fra Angelico.
