Protea - South Africa's national flower
by grets

The garden is devoted almost exclusively to indigenous plants, housing 9,000 of Southern Africa's plant species. They are predominately from the winter rainfall region, but some other hardy speceis are found here too. Also grown in the gardens are Moreton Bay figs, oaks and camphor trees.
