"Ghosts, ghouls, things that go bump in the night." Hamburg Dungeon Tip by planxty

Hamburg Dungeon, Hamburg: 1 reviews and 0 photos

I wouldn't say this is a must see activity as such, but there is no section for "things to do to pass an hour or two."

The activity referred to is the Hamburg dungeon in the warehouses by the docks. You are led through a series of rooms by actors / guides (referred to as creatures in the publicity) and a series of scenarios are enacted for you including the fire of Hamburg, a pirate ship, and a completely manic religious inquisitor. There are a lot of special effect features and it is all very well done. the actors certainly seem to get into their roles with a deal of gusto.

The only problem is that, obviously, it is all in german, so if you don't speak German, the whole effect is somewhat lost, although it is still enjoyable enough.

The last part of the experience is a "log flume" ride depicting a great flood.

i am not sure if there are tours in other languages for organised parties.

Admission is ?13:95 per person.
