This spacious building refers in its style to Gothic. Just here there was a wedding of Wladyslaw IV (1632), coronation of Stanislaw Leszczynski and Stanislaw Poniatowski and an oath of the Constitution of 3rd May - the first constitution in Europe. In the basements of the Cathedral there are tombs of great personages such as: Stanislaw August Poniatowski, Henryk Sienkiewicz, Gabriel Narutowicz, Ignacy Paderewski.
