"Which car to hire? (part 2/2)" United States of America Transportation Tip by matcrazy1

In 2004 I wanted to rent another Buick Century but there was none available in Budget rental at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The guy called to Budget car rental at Dulles airport but there were none there as well. He proposed me a nearly new Buick LeSabre and told that it's better model than Century. Indeed, it's a Premium car, two classes higher in Budget classification of vehicles than Century. He offered to hire it for me at the same price. Surely I wasn't familiar with the LeSabre (there are no Buicks in Poland) but I agreed.

The two cars were similar but LeSabre was better equipped. Both had air conditioning, CD player, cruise control, automatic lights etc. LeSabre was larger, had better cruise contol (constant speed on downhills) and had Satellite Radio (over 100 different music, news, talk, sports, or comedy formats with CD quality anywhere in the 48 contiguous states).

Specifications of Buick Century (Buick LeSabre)

Fuel Economy (City) (mpg): 20 (20)
Fuel Economy (Highway) (mpg): 30 (29)

Trunk (cu. feet): 16.7 (18.0)
Fuel tank (aprox. gal): 17 (18)

Engine: 3.1L/V6 (3.8L/V6)
Horsepower: 175 @ 5200 rpm (205 @ 5200 rpm).

Now I know what to ask for next time.

Type: Car/Motor Home
