The Sacramento River has a fascinating history. Learn more, and take in some fine views of the city by taking a narrated cruise on one of the riverboats. The Spirit of Sacramento departs from the waterfront in Old Sacramento on a regular basis on weekends.

Address: Sacramento Yacht Charters, 110 L St. 95624
Directions: Go to Old Sacramento and park under the I-5 overpass (it's the cheapest, most accessible parking I've found in the area). Then go westward to the river's edge. The Spirit of Sacramento is next to the Delta King.
