In Lhasa, the devout walk the Barkhor Circuit
by Gage17

One of the highlights of a visit to Lhasa is a walk around the Barkhor Circuit, the most important circumnavigational circuit for the devout Buddhist in Tibet. It is a walked clockwise around the Jokhang Temple, and the route is lined with countless merchandise stalls selling prayer beads, jackets, prayer wheels, buddhist icons, etc. It is an unbelievable circuit with so much to observe, and something with which I was enriched daily.
