"Gold Domed Cathedral" Cathedral Tip by BleedOrange

Cathedral, Cadiz: 27 reviews and 45 photos

This is the highlight of Cadiz, at least from a historical standpoint. Built in the 1700's, Lonely Planet says it is the last cathedral built with colonial riches. This is about all I can tell you, we didn't even go in because they wanted 3 Euro and by then we had seen enough cathedrals (which are all pretty much the same on the inside.) The outside is quite neat, and there are lots of shops nearby.

Address: Plaza de la Catedral
Directions: From the harbour, go to San Juan de Dios Square (where the Town Hall is), then turn right at the bottom and, through Pelota Street, reach the Cathedral.
