"South Bank Lion" South Bank Tip by J.I.M
South Bank, London: 96 reviews and 210 photos
The South Bank Lion once surmounted the Lion's Brewery, which was later demolished, and so it now stands next to the County Hall. I'm pretty sure I remember hearing on one of the Thames boat tours, that the lion was made of a mixture of substances and clays that are now unknown. I could be mistaken though.
