The Welsh court / Vlassky Dvur in Kutna Hora was one of the castles of the Bohemian kings and was also used as the place, where all coins of Bohemia were produced for about 250 years.
On a guided tour through the palace you may see samples of all coins, having been produced there.
The Production of all Silver Coins in Bohemia was finally made only in Kutna Hora, as the silver came from the nearby Silver Mines.
About 2000 coins were made every day, simply with a hammer,smashed on a form put on top of the raw silver-coin.
Inside the museum you may see such a scenery set up by puppets.

The cathedral of Kutna Hora is built in a unique " Bohemian gothic style " and was consecrated to St. Barbara, the patron of all miners, as most of the population was working in the nearby Silver-mines.
It was first built in 1388 and was partly re-constructed in the 19th century, when it also got this unique roof with the 3 tents.
Make sure, you get there in time and NOT ON a Monday !!!
You may get the key to the church at a house, opposite of the church.
What a pity, I was there on a monday, and I was in a hurry and could not wait till next morning...
