I must admit that this is not the most attractive palace when looking at its exterior. There are many other buildings in this city alone which are much more pleasing to the eye. Neverthess, it is worth at least a brief visit due to the fact that it is the main royal residence. A Union Jack fluttered in the breeze during my visit, indicating that the Queen was in residence there. Tours are sometimes available here.

Many people come and wait for the Changing of the Guard. I myself have never seen it since it was not too high on my list of priorities here. It is my understanding that it can get quite crowded. I am also told that other changing of the guard ceremonies exist in othe parts of the city as well.
