Chomutov / Komotau is a small town, situated in the north-west of Prague, directely on street Nr. 27 / E442 from Karlovy Vary to Teplice.
Have a short stop-over and take a look at the lovely town-square !Chomutov has almost NO tourists yet, and prices are still very low !!
When you drive through the landsape around Chomutov / Komotau - with a lot of a landscape looking like in the desert, because of surface-mining - you will be surprised to see such a lovely small village there, with arcades around the town-square.
Almost all buildings on the main-square of Chomutov / Komotau will have such great arcades, where you may sit in the open air in a restaurant garden, and still be protected against the rain.
Chomutov / Komotau dates back to the year 1252 and was founded as a posession of the "German Order / Deutscher Orden"
The german Order was founded in order to support the crusades, build hospitals and take over parts of the administration for the area.
You may take the train to Chomutov or drive on road #13 / E 442 or on road # 7 from Prague and Louny.
