Lemberk castle / Schloß Löwenberg is about 20 km east of Novy Bor and dates back to 1240 and was built in order to watch over the trading-paths to Zittau.
In the 17th century the castle was partly rebuilt and "modernized" into baroque style, like it still looks today.
You have to enter the castle by several gates leading from one court to the next one, before you will finally get into the centre-court and may see the great architecture there.
All of the ground is covered by great and romantic cobbled stones.
The castle shows great interiors of the time between the gothic , the baroque untill the 19th century.

Visits of the castle-interior is only possible by a guided tour and the entrance-fee is just 50 Kronen ( less than 2 Euros )

NO Video & NO Photos INside the castle,
during the tour !!

You may take the train to Jablonne v Pojestedi or road # 13 / E 442 from Decin - Novy Bor...
