  Brandenburg Gate
by sabsi

It's the most famous building in whole Germany I suppose (mainly because it's on our Euro coins ;-). Brandenburg Gate was a symbol for the cold war when standing between the two walls of Berlin. It was completely closed off for public and belonged to East Berlin.

I still like the feeling of going through it - because I can still remember how I always wanted to do that before 1989 and how great it felt to go through for the first time!

Address: Pariser Platz, Berlin-Mitte
Directions: At Pariser Platz - one end of Unter den Linden. The bus line 100 takes you there, as well as to many other tourist attractions!
