"Utopolis Kirchberg -- Movie Theaters" Movie Theaters Tip by Ewingjr98

When we lived in Germany, about once a month we'd head to Utopolis near Luxembourg city to catch a hot new American movie. This is a nice, modern theater that is very similar to the newest theaters in the US. It has stadium-style seating with reclining chairs, armrests, and cup holders. Also, all English movies are shown in their native language with both German and French subtitles. I never saw a German or French movie there, but I suspect they might have English subtitles ... it pays to ask! They have 10 screens capable of seating about 2,700 customers. The cost ranges from 6.00 Euro to 7.50 Euro.

The building housing the cinema also is home to a few restaurants and a couple of stores. Our favorite restaurant was always the Tie Break Cafe -- it is reminiscent of an American sports bar, but definitely with a European flair. They also have a Subway (American chain) sandwich shop, a sushi place, and a few so-called "bistros".

Directions: From Luxembourg City, take bus line 13,16 or 18.

Driving from Germany, take Euro Highway E-44 from Trier toward Luxembourg. Take Exit 8 (1 exit past the airport) toward Kirchberg. Go straight through the traffic circle, Utopolis is on your right.
