Posada de Don Rodgrigo: "Nice hotel in Antigua" Guatemala Hotel Tip by mad4travel

This was a very atmospheric hotel just around the corner from the central plaza.

The people in the hotel were very attentive and friendly and did'nt mind me trying out my terrible spanish on them!

There are two hotels in the same street, the main one is built around a large courtyard with a fountain an has a large restaurant. Beware if you get a room off this courtyard as they often have marimba bands playing there which may drive you a bit mad.

The other part of the hotel is an annexe 1 block further up the street. It used to be a convent as still has a calming and slightly austere feel but very comfortable (and no marimba). You have to go down to the main hotel for breakfast.

Unique Qualities: Live like a nun for the night in the annexe!
