The Court of Myrtles (Patio dee los Arrayanes) is a big rectangular courtyard with a fish pond in the center and lined by rows of Myrtle hedges. fitting the Moors ideal for a patio: water, plants under a open sky. \

This patio was for the Sultans harem who?s living quarters were above and rarely ventured out. Wood screens (jalousies) covered their windows so they could see out without being seen.
