One of Thailands old capital cities it has ruins from times past. Thailands answer to cambodias angkor wat, where you can see ruined palaces, go on elephant rides from the royal elephat stables and even learn about thailands up and down history.....

For more detail, go to my Ayutthaya page as that has more info about the old city, and its ruins...

Address: Ayutthaya - North of Bangkok
Directions: Go to Hualumpong Station in bangkok and take a train north to ayutthaya. At the station there its easy to get a tuk tuk to a hotel or to the ruins. However, i would recomend hiring either a bicycle or a motorbike to see the ruins!
