Svateho Vaclava: "Our first night in Prague" U Svateho Tomase Tip by bugalugs

U Svateho Tomase, Prague: 6 reviews and 5 photos

It was our first evening, we had only arrived a short time when we went into Wenceslas Square looking for food. We came upon this restaurant, it seemed busy which looked a good sign. Went in, and were shown to a table. Looks small from the front but goes quite deep inside. Nice decor and very pleasant staff, although not all spoke english. Had a comprehensive menu, local Czech food and other kinds also.According to the table mats, there were pictures on them of supposedly 'famous' people who had visited the restaurant, amongst who was Jan Kroller a footballer (I have heard of him), Milan Buros (another football but one I have never heard of) and a Matthew McConouaghey an actor (who I have never heard of).
The meal came to 1100 KC with wine (that was for me - lol)
Ioen daily
9am - 12 midnight
Live Jazz Bands on Tuesday and thursday from 7pm

Favorite Dish: Wayne had a kind of stir fry meal with chicken and veg, I had a sample of it and it was lovely. I had a vegetarian meal which was awful, mostly potatoes and really dry, wish I had ordered what Wayne had.
