The idea of One World, a planet of diplomatic and peaceful United Nations is appealing to me, and a visit to the UN warmed my heart. Just being there, I felt more like a member of the global community. There is a gift shop on the lower level and changing exhibits in the lobby (for which there is no charge), but I would definitely recommend the tour, which is available in multiple languages. How interesting to see the actual rooms and halls where our national representatives meet to discuss the issues of the world!
