"Taking the Bus" Villa Gesell Transportation Tip by Wade123

We took a bus (El Rapido) from Mar del Plata to Villa Gesell. The bus was comfortable. There aren't that many bus companies going to VG from Mar del Plata, so you can't be too picky. The cost was 7.6P or about $2.50USD.
While at the bus station in Villa Gesell, it's a good idea to get your ongoing ticket to wherever you want to go. The station is at the south end of town and likely to be quite aways from your hotel (since the town is very long, stretching along the coast). I did not notice a place in town to buy tickets, although I don't doubt that it can be done.
The ticket to Buenos Aires was 30P/$10USD. The trip took 6-7 hours on a very comfortable El Rapido bus. We picked up two sandwiches at the station for 6P/$2USD.
They were way too big (as usual) but our poor Spanish was translated from "One please" to "OK. Here are your two sandwiches". Since they were made from 'scratch', we took them with a smile.
Our hotel called a 'remis" to take us to the station. Cost 6P/$2USD. When we arrived at the station from MDP, there was only one taxi there. We were charged more than the remis, so you might try a bit of negotiation. I hear that there are buses going into town, but unless you know where your hotel is located you might be at a disadvantage.
