"Just south of Mandurah on the..." Mandurah Tip by Pierre_Rouss

Mandurah, Perth: 7 reviews and 9 photos

Just south of Mandurah on the western edge of the Swan Coastal Plain lies Yalgorup National Park. It offers visitors panoramic views of the beaches, dunes and lakes from several high spots. Peaceful settings among the patches of tuart forest and woodland, and sweeping views over the tranquil lakes, give the area a wilderness feel and attract an increasing number of visitors.
The thrombolite-building micro-organisms of Lake Clifton resemble the earliest forms of life on Earth producing 'living rocks' that are found in only a very few places in the world.
A fascinating place for lovers of wildflowers and other native flora and fauna. A day won't be long enough to explore this wonderful area.
