"Stanley Market" Hong Kong Tourist Trap Tip by XenosUK

Hong Kong Tourist Traps: 170 reviews and 97 photos

Stanley Market is a definite tourist trap and there's virtually nothing there that you won't find cheaper at Ladies Market.

However, I'm still a sucker for it and no visit to Hong Kong would be complete without a visit, if only for the bus ride.

Unique Suggestions: Get the number 6 bus from Exchange Square and try and ride at the front on the top deck for fabulous views of the Island.

When you've had enough of the market itself, have a wander amongst the rocks on the beach and have a beer in the Smugglers Inn on the seafront.

Fun Alternatives: For a cheaper, wider range of tourist tat, souvenirs and designer rip-offs try Ladies Market and the Temple Street night market in Kowloon.
