Favorite thing: As a must-see site, the Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife is exceptional if you like wildlife and plants. The garedens are immaculate and the animals well cared for and they have some very good shows.

This picture shows the performing sea-lions. They put on a very good show, but the animals are quite temperamental, so when we saw them the first time, the show was very good, whereas the second time we saw the show, one of the sea-lions went AWOL (Absent without leave), meaning the show was rather shortened. The moral being that it can be well worth attending some of the shows more than once.

Whereas the dolphin show was fairly easy to photograph as they tended to give you a good indication of what was going to happen next, and often repeat the move more than once. The sea-lions were much more difficult as they would suddenly do something unexpected and the move would not be repeated.
