Not far from the Zhonghua Men is a park known as Yuhuatai.
In legend it was here that a fifty century Buddhist monk delivered sermons so moving that the flowers rained down from the sky upon him. You still see Chinese tourists grubbing around here for the multi-coloured stone called "Yuhuashi" (Red Flower Pebbles), associated with that legend.
There is also a kind of exhibition of such stones but I have to admit, when I was there I had no idea about the legend.
Sadly, that hill also has much less pleasant connotations. After 1927 it was used as an execution ground.
