"Langtang Valley - trekking and climbing" Langtang National Park Tip by NEILHALLIDYA

Langtang National Park, Nepal: 9 reviews and 17 photos

View towards Terko Ri - Langtang Valley

Langtang valley is closer than the Annapurnas or the Everest region.

Its quieter than the above, less comercialised, and has great variety (in terms of scenery and culture).

At some stage you might see huge Himalayaan snow peaks, monster rhodedendrums, monkeys, buddhist temples and witness an almost tibetan village lifestyle and all kinds of flora and fauna.

Various treks and climbs exist to suit all tastes. Its ideal as a first trek but you can easily arrange more adventurous itineries.

Things are easy to sort out in Katmandu and the independent (and adventurous) could easily travel without guide or porters.
