I think the most amazing thing about the Louvre is the architecture of the building itself. From the outside, it's beautiful and huge and at night the lights dramatically illustrate all of the home of the former rulers of France in all of its glory.

From the inside one can lose oneself in the long halls and corridors. The Louvre is a feast for the senses. While one may get lost in the art and scupltures and antiquites that grace these halls and walls, be sure to stop and take notice of the building itself. The history is remarkable and peeking out the windows at the little courtyards and fountains makes it possible to get carried away in daydreams about life in another time.
