"Great Place to Lay your head in NYC!" Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Tip by SeansMom

Hilton Garden Inn Times Square, New York City: 6,538 reviews and 4 photos

We stayed at the Days Hotel in Midtown Manhattan from December 26-30, 2004.
Since we travelled with a group, we had no input regarding the hotel selection. After reading several HORRIBLE and frightening reviews on various travel websites, we were quite apprehensive about staying there.

Once we got checked in and looked around, our apprehension subsided. It was a clean, comfy place to stay right in the middle of all the NYC action!

Mind you, it was NOT The Plaza!

We were on the 12th floor.... Standard Days Inn type room... two double beds with PLENTY of space to walk around in the room. There was a table and chairs for dining, TV, clock radio, iron and ironing board, nice size closet with hangers, hairdryer and toiletries in the bathroom, (Typical stuff, if you ask me) Nothing fancy, and a bit "dated", but in New York, who spends much time in a hotel room, anyway?

In contrast to some reviews, we had no "extra guests" in our room in the form of rodents or insects. The sheets were changed every day and the staff was attentive and friendly. Close to subways, and there is a GREAT deli, The Z Deli, right across the street that is open 24 hours... has GREAT subs at GREAT prices.

Like I said, it is NOT The Plaza... it is a Days Inn.... We will definitely stay there again.... by choice!
