In 1890, the 33rd President of the United States was born here in Denison, Texas. His father worked on the railroad, and part of the original railroad is preserved and left in front of the house. The people here are very laid back, and will be more than happy to take you on a tour. The gift shop has actual authentic campaign souveniers (buttons, etc.) for sale for about $5.00 a piece. If you want to own a piece of history, here is the place.
Address: 609 S. Lamar Ave. Denison TX 75021
Directions: Take US 75 North to Denison. You will see signs directing you to the location. This is in a rough-looking part of town, so try to go during the day (it's closed at night, so don't bother).
