  Ponte San Angelo
by Blatherwick

The Bridge of Angels dates back to the 2nd century BC. In 1669 ten angel statues were made by Bernini by the order of Clemens IX. The ornate statuary gives the bridge a grandeur fitting for its location along the Tiber River near the Vatican and Castel Sant' Angelo.

Address: Immediately South of Castel Sant' Angelo
Directions: Close to the Vatican, on the banks of the Tiber River.
