National Palace Museum, Taipei: 34 reviews and 50 photos
National Palace Musuem should be the must-see place for every visitor to Taipei. It has the largest collections of Chinese antiquities outside mainland China. Many of its collections are from the emperial collections from the Ching Empire (last empire in China).
Here you will see invaluable artificats from Ancient China, including paintings, calligraphy, bronzes, ceramics, jades etc. It has items from every dynasties in 5000 years of Chinese history. So it will be a good place to learn some knowledge of the Chinese history.
Note: it's a disappointment that the musuem is now under some major renovations. Only the left wing is currently open to public. So you will only see part of the musuem's collections on exhibition. The renovation is expected to be finished in 2006!
