"walk through the Piazza del..." Santa Maria delle Grazie Tip by JaumeBCN

Santa Maria delle Grazie, Milan: 4 reviews and 2 photos

Favorite thing: walk through the Piazza del Duomo. You'll find there three of the most important monuments in town: the Cathedral, the Galleries Vittorio Emanuele II which connects to the Teatro alla Scala.

Fondest memory: Probably it's the painting 'Il Cenacolo' (1495-1497) painted by Leonardo Da Vinci and located at the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Maybe you'll find a long queue but it is well worth. Also it is interesting how the painting is being conserved and protected with a doors system which allows only a few visitors seeing the painting at the same time. Please remember that pictures cannot be made in order to preserve the painting.
