"Living as a Venetian" Venice Hotel Tip by Mcclovis

Accomodation in Venice does not come cheap. Still there are many different places to choose from. So doing your homework before your visit is essential. I rented a room in a house. This was ideal for me since I wanted to live Venice not just visit it. Living with someone in their house means having most necessities: bathroom, TV, kitchen (if allowed to use it), telephone, and normally your host knows the place very well and can be a most useful guide. Rates vary depending on the size of the room.

Unique Qualities: Living in someone's house requires a modicum of courtesy and good manners on your part - more than stayiong in a hotel or similar. But then you are not an anonymous room number.

Comparison: less expensive than average
