"Helper Monkeys!" Ko Phangan Local Custom Tip by alvis

Ko Phangan Local Customs: 14 reviews and 21 photos

You will sometimes see in Thailand monkeys being used to help farmers collect coconuts or used for other tasks.

The monkey in the photo was found alone in the jungle as a baby who had lost its parents to poachers. The man that found it then brought it up as his own as it would not have survived alone at its age. Making the most of a bad situation.
